Access, Outreach and Enrollment

MPCA recognizes that outreach staff are often the first points of contact for patients. Because of this, our Outreach & Enrollment team provides members with leadership, training, technical assistance, and consultation on all their outreach needs.

Our outreach staff are trained in both Medicaid and the Marketplace, and provide resources and assistance as needed to members at no cost. Additionally, outreach staff oversee the management of key outreach grant programs, ensuring patients across the state of Missouri receive ample opportunities to sign up for and keep their health insurance and care through their local Community Health Centers.

MPCA Outreach Programs

CMS Navigator Grant

A federal grant enabling participating health centers to employ additional outreach staff to provide Medicaid and Marketplace application assistance to potential and existing patients, free of charge.

Women & Minority Outreach Grant

A state grant through the Department of Social Services enabling participating Community Health Centers to employ additional outreach staff to engage their communities through community events and vendor fairs, health center promotions, and any other manner to encourage hard-to-reach patients (including those with hypertension or needing prenatal care) to apply for health insurance coverage.

General Outreach Assistance

Provides one-on-one training and site visits to Community Health Centers with the tools and resources they need to ensure all Missourians have access to quality health care without fear of losing their healthcare coverage.

MPCA’s Outreach & Enrollment team cultivates and maintains positive and interactive relationships with key stakeholders at both the state and federal level. With our in-depth Open Enrollment training each year for both Certified Application Counselors and CMS Navigators, health center outreach staff can provide the most up-to-date information to their patients.
