Addressing Barriers to Care

Addressing Health Disparities

Addressing Health Disparities means we work to ensure everyone has a fair and just opportunity to attain their highest level of health. This involves ongoing efforts to address avoidable inequalities and injustices, and the elimination of health and healthcare disparities. Achieving this goal requires authentic and focused and ongoing efforts to overcome economic, social,  and  other  obstacles to health and healthcare; and means eliminating preventable health disparities – specifically by addressing social driver (determinants) of health.
