Guided by representatives from each member dental program, the Oral Health Network strives to keep health center dental programs apprised of and prepared for current trends in dental public health. The Network also offers training in expanded functions and monitoring nitrous oxide for health center dental assistants as well as dental team training in OSHA standards, infection control guidelines, and interdisciplinary integration of care.
Current activities of the Oral Health Network include assisting rural health centers in the development of formal dental assistant training programs and preparing health centers for the advent of Value-Based Care payment models.
